In President Gjorge Ivanov New Year’s speech, he urges citizens to concentrate on love, family, children, neighbours and friends, to be kind to the sick and weak and to anyone who is in need of support and help, and to keep the solidarity. Also, he wanted to remind everyone to be grateful to the brave guardians who keep the country safe, as that is why tonight Macedonia can calmly and carelessly celebrate the New Year.
“We have a historic responsibility to our ancestors to leave Macedonia stronger and more successful than the way we inherited it from our ancestors. Therefore, we have to be united with a sense of statehood and sovereignty, and to continue to build Macedonia to the highest of European values, standards and criteria. We need to continue to build a just society which will be based on peace, truth and the freedom. Forgive and respect. Be patient and persistent. And in everything we do, we should do it from the goodness in our hearts. Holidays are a time which comes to every house and every family, and they must bring joy, love and happiness. I hope we have peace, progress and success everywhere and for everyone”, said President Ivanov.
