Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs, Bujar Osmani met with Nikola Bertolini, Head of Cooperation European Union Delegation in Skopje (DEU). At the meeting they discussed and exchanged data on the situation regarding the realization of projects and the use of the IPA funds.

Osmani informed Bertolini that a huge master plan is being prepared, which will be divided according to the urgency of measures, and this has been planned to revise and improve the work of the IPA structure in order to raise the use of the IPA funds.

“I have had working meetings with the ministries, mayors and other representatives of institutions, in order to be directly informed about the challenges and obstacles in the realization of projects financed by IPA”, said Osmani.

For these reforms, Osmani expects support from both the EU delegation in Skopje and the institutions responsible for IPA within the European Union.

The two interlocutors concluded that the utilization of IPA funds in Macedonia can be significantly improved.
