-

Basic Public Prosecutor set its detention of 30 days to the former DBK director Zoran Verushevski.
“Competent prosecutor from the Basic Public Prosecution Skopje brought an Order to conduct an investigation against a suspect, who is charged with a crime – Unlawful manufacture, possession and trading with weapons and explosives,” reads the statement from the Public Prosecution.

The Ministry of Interior said that the department for fighting against organized and serious crime submitted two applications against Zoran Verushevski to the competent public prosecutor on the grounds of reasonable doubt that he has committed two crimes. One case is the unauthorized manufacture, possession and trading with weapons and explosive materials, while the other is showing pornographic material to a minor.

“Based on previous doubts about serious crimes committed, and acting on an Order of a judge of the previous procedure for searching a home and other premises, the suspect’s home was searched. During the search, among the other items that were found, were two guns, for which there was no legal license at the time of the search. Due to reasonable suspicion of a crime committed, Order for forensic analysis of the weapon was issued by the public prosecutor,” informed representatives of MOI.

They say that during the search, a computer system was also seized, and the digital forensic analysis of seized materials will continue in the following days.
