MANU is preparing to issue a proclamation titled ”What is Macedonia and what it should be”

-

At the moment, at the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts (MANU), a proclamation is being prepared with which the Academy will appear in this key moment and which “will give a clue would of what Macedonia is and what it should be?” The academic Mitko Madžunkov said that “when the country is at stake, as we now see it is, then we really have to react.”

Madžunkov had said this for “TV Nova” when he was asked why MANU wasn’t more active and often it avoids to react.

-MANU is a serious and traditional organization that cannot react for no reason at all. But, whenever a situation occurs, as when the state is at stake, as we now see it is, then we will have to react, and I think at the moment, at MANU, a certain text is being discussed i.e. a “sketch” that will give shape to what Macedonia is and what it should be – said Madžunkov.

Mitko Madžunkov has become a regular member of MANU in 2007. He is the manager of a project for the making of a “Macedonian Encyclopedia”, which was put on hold in the past few years.
