The EU Commissioner, Johannes Hahn, on his Twitter account, stated that yesterday’s meeting between the Macedonian Prime Minister Zoran Zaev and his Greek colleague, Alexis Tsipras is very good news.
“The meeting between Alexis Tsipras and ZOran Zaev is very good news. It shows courage, vision, and statemenship. The solution of the longstanding dispute will be good for both countries, the rgion and Europe” wrote Hahn.

Zaev and Tsipras вчера on the margins of the World Economic Forum in Davos have stated that the final solution for the name dispute has to be accepted by both sides and that they are strongly committed to fulfilling the measures for building trust.
Zaev stated that Macedonia has no territorial takeover plans towards Greece and in order to show that it will change the names of the Airport “Alexander The Great” and the highway “Alexander the Macedonian” which will be renamed as “Friendship.”
