Gruevski: We will accept the proposals of the opposition, but I will not resign

-

Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski in an interview with “Financial Times” says he is ready to accept the proposals of the opposition for the distribution of key positions in the period until the early elections, but he won’t accepts stepping down as prime minister.

“We do not agree with this (requests for resignation). Only citizens have the right to say who should enter the government, and who to be in opposition,” said Gruevski.

Also, Gruevski does not exclude the possibility of changes in State Election Commission to get more authority.

“We are ready to accept a lot of ideas that will enhance the confidence of the opposition towards the electoral process,” said Gruevski.

“I invite observers from OSCE and anywhere. The more they come, the better for us because they’ll see that everything will be done in a fair and democratic way,” Gruevski said in the interview.
