Grubi: Only date for elections this year, is December the 11th

-

The differences are minimal, they can overcome them and today we can finally reach an agreement, said Artan Grubi from the DUI party, before the start of today’s negotiations between the political parties, who are signatories to the Pržino Agreement.

“Talks are taking place in a constructive atmosphere. The differences are minimal and we are close to an agreement. I hope that we will come to an agreement today or tomorrow at the latest, as for elections, the only possible date for this year, is December 11”, said Grubi.

Nikola Todorov, the representative from the VMRO-DPMNE says that the SDSM are constantly rejecting proposals, while his party is constructive and are constantly suggesting new proposals to reach a final solution.

“In general, we talk about two things. The first thing is after elections come to an end so will the interim government from the Pržino Agreement. The second thing is to prevent abuse of position and office and a mass party purge within the MOI”, said Todorov.

He says that if the SDSM accepts these, as he says, rational principles, they should be able to reach an agreement today.

Meanwhile, according to Radmila Sekerinska from the SDSM says that the VMRO-DPMME are still running away from regular elections and the Pržino Agreement.

“We believe that Macedonia needs democratic and fair elections as soon as possible and therefore offer solutions, not open new questions”, Sekerinska said.

The negotiations of the political parties are now taking place in the MP’s Clubhouse and attended by representatives of the EU Delegation in Skopje and US Ambassador Jess Baily.
