Awards for the best athlete of the City of Skopje given

Antonio Ristevski was declared the best athlete of the City of Skopje in 2014 because of his success in the Winter Olympics in Sochi, where he won the 29th place, which is the biggest success for a Macedonian at the Winter Olympics.
Besides Ristevski, awards for best athletes were given to: Igor Stefanovski (motor racing), Tomi Stefanovski (marathon) and Evgenij Popacev (swimming). The best young athletes are: Meri Janeva (bowling), Aleksandar Sokolovski (bowling), Bojan Jankulovski (tennis) and Filip Talevski (handball). The best coaches are: Ivan Lesevski – skiing (SC Rabotnichki), Indira Kastratovik (WHC Vardar).
The team of WHC Vardar Skopje was selected the best team, while Timur Dibirov, handball player of Vardar, was declared the best foreign athlete. For the best athlete with physical disability was declared Risto Fotevski, successful athlete in multiple disciplines: chess, table tennis, wheelchair races of 100, 200 and 400 meters and shot put.
Zdravko Dejanovik was awarded for particular achievement – feat of the year. Awards for special achievements in sports were given to: Junior – Mini-basketball School, Karate Club Cvetan Dimov, Nazmi Ali, wrestling coach, Jovica Jovanchev, Aleksandar Chekorov and Aleksandar Smilkov (Guinness record for pushing a car).
