Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Dimitrov today met with US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, Matthew Palmer, who is on a working visit to Macedonia. at the Macedonian Foreign Ministry
The meeting focused on the country’s Euro-Atlantic perspectives, as well as the current political situation in Macedonia and the region. They discussed negotiations with NATO, as well as the start of the procedure for constitutional changes.
“Minister Dimitrov expressed gratitude for the USA’s continued support for the Euro-Atlantic integration of the Republic of Macedonia. He pointed out that the people see the future of their country in the Euro-Atlantic family and expressed confidence that we will successfully pave the way to a well-deserved place in NATO and the European Union”, announced the MFA.
