-

Prime Minister Zoran Zaev received a letter from Uided Bushamaui, the recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize in 2015, with which she informs him officially that she sent a letter to the Nobel Prize Committee nominating him and the Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras for this prize for 2019.

“In the letter, Nobel laureate Bushamaui is expressing her conviction that the Prespa Agreement represents a model for peaceful and constructive solution of the bilateral and multilateral disputes between neighboring countries and which can serve as an example for the whole Balkans region and wider, and that the ratification of the agreement between both countries is a proof that the dialogue, the positive energy, the cosmopolitism, the spirit of determination, the firm conviction and the propensity for good neighborly relations, are the key for all problems, regardless of the pressures imposed by nationalists on both sides of the borders”, says government’s press release.

In her letter, Bushamaui states that “Zaev and Tsipras have played key roles in this process and this courageous and visionary act establishes the dialogue, the trust and the platform for a joint future of Republic of North Macedonia and Greece within the international organizations.”

Uided Bushamaui sent a letter with identical content to the Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras.
