DUI does not support neither a new or re-composed agreement, and stands firmly behind their stance that elections should and will be held on April 24, announced Ali Ahmeti yesterday while meeting with citizens in Debar. If that happens, Ahmeti said DUI would come up with its own platform and will adhere to the agreement which was reached in June / July.
“Everyone has the right to veto, or to request a new agreement. If someone is asking for a new agreement or to modify an existing agreement, then all four parties have to agree, who are signatories to the Przhino Agreement, which was passed after much analysis and talks facilitated by the EU and US. Therefore DUI does not support a new agreement or a modification of the agreement. We are confident that all parties will pursue and meet all obligations under the agreement which was agreed upon together, and will ensure that elections are conducted according to European standards recognized by everyone”, said Ahmeti.
