EU Commissioner for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Hahn welcomed the ratification of the Treaty of Friendship, Good Neighborly Relations and Cooperation between Macedonia and Bulgaria on his twitter account.
He wrote:
The ratification of 🇲🇰 Parliament of the #friendship#treaty with 🇧🇬 is an important step into the right direction towards the country’s #EUpath. The treaty is also a #milestone for good neighbourly relations in the entire #WesternBalkans region!

Prime Minister Zoran Zaev and his Bulgarian counter-part Boyko Borisov signed the Treaty in Skopje, August 1st, 2017.
