The Bulgarian Prime Minister, Bojko Borisov and the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs this afternoon have greeted the ratification of the Agreement for friendship, good neighborly relations and cooperation between Republic of Macedonia and Republic of Bulgaria that occurred today at the Macedonian Parliament.

Borisov addressed through his Facebook page from Azerbaijan where he is on an official visit.

“I greet the Parliament of the Republic of Macedonia, who ratified today the Agreement for friendship, good neighborly relations and cooperation between Republic of Macedonia and Republic of Bulgaria. This shows that the wish for building modern, European relations of friendship and trust is mutual” wrote the Bulgarian prime minister.

In its writing on his official web page, the Bulgarian MFA stated that Bulgaria will continue to give its support form Macedonia’s European integration.

“With this act, the will for building good neighborly relations is being confirmed, and they are an important element of the European perspective for every country from the Western Balkans. The Republic of Bulgaria will continue to be active with its support for Macedonia’s European integration. This is a strategic decision of our country that is also rooted in the priorities of the Bulgarian presidency with EU’s Council” said the message.
