The government is considering an increase of the minimum wage

-

The government is considering to increase the guaranteed minimum wage said today Prime Minister Zoran Zaev when he replied to a question about how does the government plan to achieve the promised average wage of 500 euros.

“The government plans to make an additional decision regarding the growth of the minimum salary for this year,” said Zaev.

The Minister of finance Dragan Tevdovski said that ” this government’s main fight is centered on the growth of the wages” because the wage is the only income for most of the citizens.

“We are putting pressure in order for the wages to rise, but at the same time, we are providing support for opening new jobs. The salary between 2013 and 2017 has had a growth of 1.9 % and last year it has increased by 5.7%” said Tevdovski.

When he spoke about expectations regarding the economy, the prime minister announced that this year shall give accent on the economy where there will be no obstacles about the realization of capital investments such as building roads, the railroad, and the gasification.
