This afternoon, the cabinet of President Gjorge Ivanov called upon the Minister of Interior, Agim Nuhiu to explain the information that was said yesterday in an interview for Alsat-M TV about the existence of a scenario that would have served as a reason for a declaration of a martial law (Article 124 of the Republic of Macedonia’s Constitution) or a state of emergency (Article 125 of the Republic of Macedonia’s Constitution) on part of the President and the use of ARM which were all connected to the violent entrance at the Parliament on the 27th of April.
In the announcement, it was stressed that someone wants to damage the reputation of the President of the Republic of Macedonia by using fake news.
“The cabinet of the President of the Republic of Macedonia concludes that among the general public there is an obsession with fake news for the purpose of delegitimizing the institutions i.e. the President of the Republic of Macedonia,” said the press release.
Last night, in the TV interview, Nuhiu, referred to rumours and he indicated an alleged plan for using the army during the recent events in the Parliament on the 27th of April.
