Several hundred people gathered this afternoon before the Constitutional Court, they say,it is in defense of the institutions of the Republic of Macedonia.
At the protest there were mostly young people and pensioners, who claimed that they had come voluntarily and and by their own initiative to defend the constitutional order of the country.
Before the assembled citizens the President of GROM Stevco Jakimovski addressed the crowd, and urged citizens to come and join the mass central protest which will be even larger and will begin at 17:00 in front of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Macedonia.
All entrances to the Constitutional Court have been closed with large tents that are serving hot tea and coffee.
For today however at 18:00, a protest is scheduled against political involvement in the Constitutional Court also organised by the NGO “Ajde” who has the support from the parties from the opposition.
It is predicted that the protest will start in front of the Government and proceed to the National Office of President Gjorge Ivanov in downtown Skopje, then to Parliament and to end before the Constitutional Court. It is expected that a large group of the protesters will stay all night in front of the court.
