The Prosecutor who led the inspection and investigation of the scene where the former military intelligence officer Goran Sofeski died, did not order an autopsy of the body because the medical team after reviewing the scene determined that Mr Sofeski “apparently” died of a heart attack and there were no doubts about the cause of death, the Public Prosecutor told “Meta”.
“The Medical team present during the examination of the scene, and the inspection of the body of the deceased, said that it was obvious that the person died of natural causes, a heart attack. The medical team had previously known the deceased as a patient with cardiac problems and two by-passes. An order to perform an autopsy is not the public prosecutors decision to make, he only considered that the inspection of the doctors and the facts in place of passing, he has no doubt for these are the reason for death, ” this was the Prosecution response to our question why was not there no autposy ordered on the body of Mr Sofeski.
The Ministry of Interior said on Monday that Mr Sofeski’s body was found on Friday at 8:35 pm, at the place ‘Bela Voda’ in the surrounding area of the village Rastani Kicevo.
The body of MR Sofeski, had no violations or traces of violence. The Prosecution has said.
“After finding the lifeless body of the person missing, at a place called “Bela Voda” in the village Rastani, Kicevo, officials from the Ministry of Interior, medical teams and a prosecutor examined the scene. It was also noted that it was obvious that the body of the deceased had no traces of violence or injuries, ” reported the Prosecutor’s office.
