German diplomat and special envoy for Macedonia sent from the German Foreign Ministry, Johannes Haindl arrives today in Skopje to try and help resolve the political crisis.
During his two-day visit, Haindl will meet all four parties who are signatories of the Przhino Agreement, US Ambassador Jess Baily, and other ambassadors of EU member states in the country.
The German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, last week repeated his concern over the political situation in Macedonia and appointed Haindl to help find a way out of the political standstill. More turmoil came and added to the political crisis after the President pardoned many politicians and their close associates, sparking protests across the country.
It is still unknown whether they plan on holding a Leaders’ meeting.
