-

The current government has a legitimate mandate until 2018, but as a party the VMRO-DPMNE is ready to hold elections earlier if the opposition expresses willingness to come out and face the citizens, stated the president of the ruling party, Nikola Gruevski at today’s meeting with the Director General for Enlargement at the European Commission, Christian Danielsson.

At the meeting, the two exchanged views on the current political situation in the country. Gruevski said that VMRO-DPMNE’s priority is “to normalize the political situation, re-introduce security to the citizens and restore the paths to progress and economic prosperity”.

“VMRO-DPMNE supports the process that will improve the standards in each area and wants to make every decision which is important for the future of the country, and that should be based on the will of the citizens”, said Gruevski, in VMRO-DPMNE’s statement regarding the meeting and added that in the meantime they will continue with work and activities which will increase the confidence and the credibility of the electoral process.
