Governor Dimitar Bogov announced that the projected economic growth of 4.1 percent will not be realized because of political uncertainty.
“Political uncertainty has a negative impact on the economy, and I hope that this situation will soon be over. Economic agents need certainty and a stable environment to work in. In April we had a projection of 4.1 percent growth for this year and it is now clear that it will not be realized. I’m sure the numbers will be lower”, Bogov said while answering a reporter’s question.
He noted that at present the National Bank operates projections for a couple of weeks, they will soon make a statement on how realistic expectations are for economic growth for this and next year.
