After a day without demonstrations, protesters today at 18:00 will be back on the streets. Today’s protest will begin outside the Special Prosecutor’s Office, but it is still unknown what route they will take.
Protests have now been announced in Stip, Kocani and Bitola. The protest in Stip will begin at 18:00, before the Basic Court, and in Bitola they will start on Magnolia Square.
Civil society organizations from Bitola will meet today to organize the demonstrations against President Gjorge Ivanov and Mayor of Bitola Vladimir Taleski. The organizations say that after last night’s protest, they have decided that their goal is not to clash with the police. Unofficial sources have said that protests outside Mayor Taleski’s house are also a possibility.
Tomorrow protests have been announced in Prilep at 18:00, at the stone stage located in the city center, and on Thursday protests will begin in Gostivar as well.
In the past few days, apart from Skopje there have been protests in cities cross the county, Bitola, Strumica, Veles and even outside the Macedonian Embassy in Washington, USA.
