The Citizens of Macedonia today are breathing in poison instead of air, SDSM said accusingly in a statement.
“The measuring stations have consistently shown large amounts of air pollution in Macedonia. According to official data from monitoring stations air pollution in Skopje, it is almost 10 times over the limit. In Bitola and Tetovo PM10 particles are at a striking amount, and are 12 times over the allowed limit, while in Kicevo it is 5 times over the limit. Nikola Gruevski spent 630 million euros on monuments in Skopje and citizens are choking on unclean air. Nikola Gruevski’s policies are destroying the health of our citizens. The consequences of air pollution on people’s health are seriously dangerous”, read the statement of opposition.
SDSM said that while spending millions of euros on monuments, advertising and LED TVs, people in Macedonia are dying because of a high percentage of carcinogenic particles in the air.
