Governor Bogov believes that Brexit will not affect the exchange rate

-

“The exchange rate of the denar is stable, there is sign no inflation, and we guarantee there will be no shock for exporters”, said the Governor of the National Bank, Dimitar Bogov, while commenting on Britain’s decision to leave the European Union, and the possible repercussions it might have on the Macedonian economy.

According to Bogov, Macedonia does not have the influence on a global front, however, whatever the European Union economy goes through, will influence the Macedonian economy because the country is more export-based.

“Firstly, we need to stabilize our domestic political situation and to reduce risk at home. If one is in a storm, he will see who has the most stable house, and who doesn’t”, added Bogov.

He noted that Brexit will not have an effect on the domestic exchange rate ,the banking sector is reliable, however, loans will be reduced.
