SPO request the court to freeze the assets of the Mayor of Bitola

The Special Public Prosecutor has requested that the Criminal Court in Skopje freeze the assets of several suspects in the Transporter case, including Mayor of Bitola Vladimir Taleski, the SPO has confirmed for “Meta”.

The SPO have said that it is an ongoing investigation which the they announced at a press conference on April 14, when the “Transporter” case was officially opened for abuse of office in the transport for students in Bitola.

“We have proposed securing assets and property against six people. Among the suspects, are people who were pardoned and are now immune from criminal prosecution. The total value of damage has been estimated at 22,024,891 denars (about 360,000 euros), ” said the SPO.
