Today the European Commission called on all parties who are signatories to the Przhino Agreement and immediately to agree on electoral reform.
βThe Commission regrets that despite progress made in the working group, the parties still have not been able to finalize the electoral reform. We strongly urge the four party leaders to reach agreement today. The Election Day is approaching. Therefore, the electoral law needs to be adopted as soon as possible and its implementation needs to start in view of the elections in Aprilβ, said Maja Kocijancic, spokeswoman for European Commissioner Johannes Hahn.
The EU, however, refuses to comment on reports today, that through its representative in Macedonia, they will submit a prepared draft legislation for election laws.
