The representatives of the big political parties will discuss the special public prosecutor who will have authority in investigating the cases “Putsch” and the recorded telephone conversations involving high government officials.
The special prosecutor is expected to be elected by September 15 the latest, that is two weeks after the opposition’s return to the Sobranie.
According to information, the political parties are far from reaching an agreement. VMRO-DPMNE insists the prosecutor should be selected from current prosecutors and within the frame of the current law, while SDSM are pressing for a new legal framework.
