The Interior Minister and the Deputy Prime Minister of Israel, Silvan Shalom, had a brief courtesy meeting with the SDSM leader Zoran Zaev, during his visit to the country, stated the press office of the Deputy Prime Minister, reports TV “Telma“.
In a statement, conveyed by the Israeli Ambassador Dan Oryan, it was emphasized that at the meeting security or financial issues were not discussed, but the topic of conversation were general questions, especially about the need for improved relations between Israel and Macedonia.
SDSM leader Zoran Zaev said earlier that the meetings with representatives from the Israeli Government Agencies, among other things, discussed the provisions of Israel if Macedonian politicians were to buy equipment for eavesdropping, but did not want to announce any details.
