Today working groups will not be having a meeting regarding the media. On the proposal of the Belgian facilitator Peter Vanhoutte, political parties should propose possible solutions that they can present on Monday. Yesterday’s meeting of representatives of the parties in the MPs Clubhouse, only lasted an hour.
On Monday, the parties should present their opinions on this matter, particularly if they do not want to affect the scheduled elections for 24 April 2016.
They are not only looking to balance media coverage during elections but also agree as part of the Agreement, to change the management of MRTV, the agency MIA and a new composition of the Council of the Agency for Media.
Negotiations on the media were discontinued last month due to the urgency of the experts for the State Election Commission.
