Macedonian Foreign Affairs Ministry states it has no information whether Macedonian citizens in Italy were infected with the corona virus

In accordance with information received from the Macedonian Consulate in Venice, Italy, the Foreign Affairs Ministry informs that at the moment it has no information whether our citizens have been infected with the corona virus.

“According to the latest data, there are confirmed 159 cases of people infected with the virus. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is monitoring the situation of Macedonian citizens that are in the region through the Embassy in Rome and the Macedonian Consulate and is communicating with the Italian authorities regarding the measures that are taken in order to prevent the corona virus” said MFA’s press release.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends additional measures of precaution during travels through Italians regions such as Lombardia, Veneto and Emilia Romana in this period. More information can be gain at the following address travel.mfa.gov.mk.
