False alarm at a railway station in Paris

Paris East railway station was closed and evacuated after a suspicious package was observed at the tracks, report French media, adding that it was a false alarm.

Unnamed police officer announced that the station was closed and evacuated preventively at 8 am, but that the traffic was normalized an hour later.

Paris East railway station is one of the most important stations in Paris, which connects the city with other cities and eastern parts of the country.

French authorities yesterday detained 12 people in the suburbs of Paris, and the arrests were related to last week’s terrorist attacks.

Currently there is an ongoing raid in Montrouge, where Amedi Coulibaly last week killed a policewoman, in Grigny, where Coulibaly grew up, as well as in Flori-Merozis and suburb Elpine on the Seine, north of Paris.
