The MOI announced charges against Jakimovski due to his counter protest

The Ministry of Interior (MOI) today will file criminal charges against the Mayor of Karpos and the President of the political party GROM, Stevco Jakimovski and against the President of the cities organization of the party, Alexander Trajanovski, because of yesterday’s counter-protest outside the Constitutional Court, which, as announced this afternoon by the Interior Ministry, they purposely tried to derail the previously announced peaceful protest by the civil society “Ajde”.

As informed by the Ministry of Interior, Jakimovski and Trajanovski listed with their initials, are charged with the crimes of, the prevention and the disruption of a scheduled public meeting, punishable under the Article 155 of the Criminal Code.

The statement says the civil platform “Ajde” on March 14 duly announced their protest to the Ministry, or in the Department of Internal Affairs Skopje, where they provided detailed information about the time of the protest, the route protesters would take and the number of people expected to attend the event.
