Sarah Jessica Parker wrote kind words for Honeyland and was criticized for not adding North in the name

The celebrity actress Sarah Jessica Parker, best known for the role as Carry in the Sex and the City series, has published on her Instagram profile kind words about Honeyland documentary and the team behind it.

Honeyland is an astonishing, visually breathtaking, intimate yet epic story of beekeeper Hatidze Muratova. A woman I shall never forget! There is a reason this film is collecting all rewards for documentaries” wrote the famous actress.

Then she thanked the directors and has said that Honeyland will be one of the best nominations for Oscar this year.

It is interesting to note that even though this announcement is focused on culture and the film as a magical device for telling stories that can make a small country such as ours reach Hollywood circles still even this announcement didn’t manage to pass without a small political shadow casting over it. Apparently, in its original writing, Parker has named our country as the Republic of Macedonia after which she received numerous comments from Instagram users from Greece who requested that she change her original writing and to add North. After this Jessica has changed the post and was forced to apologize publicly to comments.

After several hours, the commenting on her post was disabled and Sarah has published an additional explanation.

“I see there is much discussion about this post and more specifically choice of country name. My point was to direct as many audiences that I could to this story and exceptional documentary. I take no political position. In turn I hope all will make it their business to an audience for Honeyland” wrote the actress
