Samaras resigns

The leader of the opposition New Democracy Antonis Samaras resigned after the strong “no” of the Greek people against European measures. Samaras asked PM Tsipras to bring the agreement to the Greek people in order to appease society and put an end to the damage to the Greek economy within 48 hours.

The resignation came at the request of the youth and part of the members of the party for a change in political leadership.
