Macedonian special police members used tear gas to calm down a growing crowd of unruly migrants which was trying to enter from the border zone to Macedonia, reports Reuters and Radio Slobodna Evropa.
The government of Macedonia declared an emergency situation and closed the south border to the migrants, who come mainly from Syria through Greece.
The migrants had spent the night in the open at the border zone between Macedonia and Greece.
