Ivanov appointed the specialist for psychological warfare Ivanov as a chief of the Intelligence Agency

The president of the country, Gjorge Ivanov appointed Zoran Ivanov as a new director of the Intelligence Agency when the outgoing director Nakje Chulev’s mandate had expired, announced Ivanov’s cabinet.

Until now, Zoran Ivanov was a director of military intelligence within the service of military security and intelligence.

The service further states that the outgoing director Nakje Chulev remains within the ranks of the Intelligence Agency which mission is gathering data for the defense of the state, protection of the national security and accomplishment of Republic of Macedonia’s interests abroad.

This past Friday, at a ceremony at the Macedonian national theater (MNT) the intelligence Agency was awarded a medal to mark the 20th anniversary of its foundation especially as one of the basic segments of the intelligence-security system of the state.
