European Commission will give 1.5 million euro to Macedonia and Serbia to help with the refugee problem

The European Commission allowed additional 1.5 million euro in humanitarian help for Macedonia and Serbia to give appropriate care and temporary housing conditions to refugees and migrants.

European Commissioner for Humanitarian aid Christos Stylianides said “The Western Balkans are dealing with an unprecedented number of transiting refugees and migrants. The EU is stepping up its humanitarian aid to provide them with urgently needed relief.”

During tomorrow’s Summit in Vienna the EC said they will consider the matter of regional cooperation, the economic situation of West Balkans, civil society, technical skill upgrade and youth education, interreligious dialog, battling extremism and migration.

The EC announced that the EU will support the West Balkans during the summit in Vienna where announced participants are Marosh Shefovich and Johanes Hahn, as well as the High representative for Foreign Policy Federica Mogherini.
