DUI president Ali Ahmeti, today, at the US Embassy, met with US Ambassador Jess Bailey. Ahmeti and Bailey discussed the current political situation in the country, the thematic congress of DUI, Euro-Atlantic integration of the country, as well as the need to resolve the name issue, announced DUI.
At the meeting, Ahmeti said that DUI should become part of the talks between SDSM and VMRO-DPMNE in Brussels, because no solution for Macedonia is sustainable without the involvement of Albanians.
According to him, the solution to the political crisis must come as a result of a political dialogue.
DUI leader Ali Ahmeti appealed for an engagement of all parties in order to resolve the crisis in order to allow the return of the country to the priority agenda, resolving the name issue, NATO membership and starting negotiations for EU integration.
