British Embassy in Skopje responded to the mass wiretapping and published recordings by the president of the opposition Zoran Zaev.
“We do not comment on questions about our private conversations. However, there are serious claims of abuse of power, criminal activities and degree of influence of the Macedonian secret services in politics, media, judiciary and other aspects of everyday life. In this regard, United Kingdom urges Macedonian Government and the institutions to fully investigate these allegations and to respect the principles of the rule of law,” said representatives of the British Embassy in Skopje.
