Court of Appeal in Skopje should state whether the journalist Tomislav Kezharovski should stay on parole or have to return to prison to serve the remaining three months in jail by Tuesday at the latest, reports “Fokus“.
Court of Appeal reduced Kezharovski’s sentence from four and a half to two years after his detention was included. After reduction of the sentence, Kezharovski has to serve only three months from his sentence.
Kezharovski applied for parole because 90 percent of the sentence is served. Trial court accepted his request, but the Public Prosecution appealed to a higher court, so the decision of the first instance cannot become effective until the ruling of the higher court.
