Zaev will only go to Vienna if the pardons are withdrawn and elections postponed

The SDSM leader Zoran Zaev at today’s press conference said he will not go to the meeting in Vienna organized by EU Commissioner Johannes Hahn on Friday to find a solution out of the political crisis, unless two conditions are met.
“We respect the initiative made by the MEPs and Commissioner Hahn for organizing the meeting for the Przhino Agreement in Vienna. For the SDSM to participate in the meeting in Vienna, it is necessary that two conditions are met. Firstly, we want Ivanov to withdraw all the pardons he granted, and, secondly, for Parliament re-convene and revoke the decision to call elections on June 5 because there are no conditions for it. Ivanov, Gruevski and Veljanoski have demolished all the conditions necessary for holding early fair, democratic and credible elections”, Zaev said at the press conference.

The leaders of the VMRO-DPMNE, SDSM, DUI and DPA, and the three MEPs Richard Howitt, Eduard Kukan and Ivo Vajgl, and the ambassadors of the EU and US to the country, Aivo Orav and Jess Bailey are all invited and expected to attend the meeting.
