The leader of the SDSM party, Zoran Zaev is worried that the VMRO-DPMNE and DUI do not really want fair and democratic elections, stated the SDSM. He addressed the problem in a letter he wrote to the ambassadors who are guarantors in the Pržino Agreement.
Zaev wrote in the letter that the adoption of the budget for 2017 one month before the dissolution of Parliament and the fact that the Constitutional Court has not yet reviewed to the constitutionality of the Special Public Prosecutor’s Office does indicate that the ruling party want fair and democratic elections.
Zaev’s letter expresses concern because the “further political instrumentalization of the Constitutional Court and it’s unclear position on the constitutionality of the Law on the SPO, can cause scrupulous destruction of the political process and expectations for a democratic resolution of the current political confrontation”.
