Veljanoski calls for Unity and Unification like on Ilinden

Today, Parliament Speaker Trajko Veljanoski at the monument of the president of the first presidium of ASNOM, Metodi Andonov-Cento in Skopje, called for unity and unification and said that Macedonia remains a priority for membership in NATO and the EU and is invested in the development of the state.

“I call for the additional recovery of mutual respect and understanding between political parties. They must not be enemies and must be competitors who have the same goal. Macedonia is our common goal. For too long people have been held hostage to such an unprincipled policy”, said Veljanoski.

He said that Macedonia, for more than a year has been subject to unprincipled political relationships which degrades its statehood and is based on constant pressure for unfair changes to the basic principles of which the modern democracy represents.

“In the heat of political battle, intoxicated by the desire for power – unfortunately, there are people tend to seize Macedonia behind the people’s back. We must be clear and unambiguous and say: Enough! Macedonia was not built to break”, Veljanovski said, adding that the crisis needs to end as soon as possible to return the mandate of the people.
