The Court has extended Taleski’s house arrest, while the Court of Appeals dismissed his lawyer’s appeal

Today the Criminal Council of the Basic Court Skopje 1 decided to extend the house arrest of Bitola’s Mayor Vladimir Taleski for another 30 days at the request of the Special Prosecutor’s Office, the court announced this afternoon.

Apart from the court extending the measure of house arrest, they also have reported that Skopje’s Court of Appeals have dismissed Taleski’s appeal and confirmed the decision made by the Criminal Council of the Organized Crime Unit.

“Today Skopje’s Court of Appeals confirmed the decision made by the Criminal Council of the Organized Crime Unit regarding the suspect V.T. which is part of the SPO’s case known to the public as “Transporter”, and dismissed the appeal made by the suspect regarding his house arrest. The Criminal Council of the Basic Court Skopje 1 – Skopje today also adopted a decision on the measure for house arrest for the suspect V.T. and extended it for another 30 days”, said the statement from the court.
