Spasovski: Two persons were taken into custody for bribery of voters and five others for photographing ballots

The Minister of Interior, Oliver Spasovski, at a press conference that occurred an hour after the polling stations were closed, announced that there are seven people that were taken into custody for election frauds, including one person that was taken into custody because of physical violence which is still investigated whether it is related to the elections.

-After a long period, Macedonia is proud to have conducted fair, democratic and peaceful elections – said Spasovski, who stressed that MoI, which acted in line with its authorizations, has taken measures and activities that have helped the citizens to freely express their will and to accomplish their right to vote.

He stressed that according to the Ministry’s operational headquarters, the election day went quietly and he congratulated the members of the Macedonian police for the shown professionalism and for the successful and efficient accomplishment of given tasks.”
