Six passengers and a baby died in a helicopter crash in Belgrade

In a helicopter crash that occurred last night near the airport “Nikola Tesla” in Belgrade, seven passengers, including a baby, were killed.

The aircraft went from Rashka, where it was engaged in the rescue of a baby born five days ago. The crew of the military helicopter was supposed to save the baby who was stuck on the way to Kragujevac in an ambulance, but which could not go to the hospital because of landslide on the road.

The military helicopter long circled around the airport in Belgrade, unsuccessfully trying to land due to bad weather.

After three hours of circling, around 3 am this morning, flight control lost contact with the crew of the aircraft. The reasons for the crash are still unknown.
