SDSM: The democratic processes are going forward, citizens to remain calm

The democratic process is going forward after the legitimate election of the new president of the Parliament of the Republic of Macedonia, said SDSM in its regular morning announcement. The announcement arrives after yesterday’s incidents and violence at the parliament, where several MPs, among which was Zoran Zaev, SDSM’s party leader, were injured.

“The domestic and the international public supported the unblocking of the Parliament. Also, it sent a clear message to the regime that this is its end, that it has to withdraw in front of the will of the majority of more than 700.000 citizens” said the announcement.

The party stressed again that the citizens’ top priority including the state’s are to accomplish the will of the citizens to the end which was expressed at valid elections through a swift transfer of power, in accordance with the Constitution, the rulebook and the laws of the Republic of Macedonia.

The party is calling the institutions to take necessary measures to protect state and civil interests.
