Reaction of the EU Office: We remain ready to help

-

“We are familiar with messages from the press conference of the opposition leader Zoran Zaev and remain ready to help,” reads the initial reaction of EU Office in Skopje to Zaev’s press conference.

At today’s press conference, Zaev said that negotiations are unsuccessful and that Gruevski did not respect the agreement of 2nd of June. The leader of the SDSM announced that they will continue with the publication of “bombs” from the project “The truth about Macedonia.”

The European Commission also had a reaction to Zaev’s press conference.

EC spokeswoman Maja Kocijanchik stated for META:

“Our position is quite clear: we urgently call on the parties to find a compromise in the interest of the country and the citizens. The agreement of 2nd of June offers the necessary basis, and remains a major issue to be negotiated. There is no time to waste.”
