VMRO-DPMNE leader, Nikola Gruevski and his cousin Sasho Mijalkov, former Head of the Security and Counterintelligence Service (UBK) have requested from the Criminal Court to return their passports, which were taken away as a guarantee that they would not leave the country due to the charges against them by the Special Public Prosecutor’s Office, “Television 24″reported.
The information from the television was confirmed by Gruevski’s and Mijalkov’s lawyers, according to which it was not a matter of anything new, but a regular court practice.
They requested their passports to be returned because they need them for business trips abroad, and as a guarantee that they will not run away from the country, they have proposed their family status and the businesses they have in Macedonia .
Recently, Gruevski has said he did not have intention to run away, on the contrary, to return to power.
