Danielsson: Political responsibility to restore the confidence in the institutions

-

Christian Danielsson, Director General for Enlargement at the European Commission, in an interview with the Internet network “European Western Balkans”, expressed concern about the armed attack in Kumanovo and said the case must be investigated in order to avoid inter-ethnic tensions in the country.

– I am very concerned about what happened in Kumanovo. EU condemns any form of violence and I want to express my deep condolences to the families of those who died – Danielsson said in the interview.

He also said not to be distracting attention from the serious political crisis in Macedonia and the parties to engage in constructive political dialogue. Danielsson believes that it should be a political responsibility in order to restore confidence in the institutions, and all potential claims for possible irregularities, according to him, should be independently and transparently investigated.
