The United States is working to see that Macedonia becomes part of NATO, whether through support for democracy-building reforms or exercises such as “Dragoon Guardian 17”, said the US Ambassador to Macedonia Jess Baily, in Kumanovo, during a joint military exercise by the Macedonian and US military.
Ambassador Baily pointed out <>that next week, US Vice President Mike Pence in Montenegro will meet with the leaders of the Adriatic Charter Summit. He stressed that last month in Washington, Pence emphasized that NATO’s open door policy must always remain such for all countries that share values.
The Minister of Defense, Radmila Šekerinska stressed that the exercise “Dragoon Protector 17”, is a great opportunity for strengthening bilateral cooperation between the Army of the Republic of Macedonia and the Armed Forces of the United States.
